I think people especially students have more of it than they realize. Students have the POWER to not care what people think of them. They have the POWER to not fear failure. They have the POWER to work together to make their school a positive place instead of a negative place everyday. Students have the POWER take frustration in stride and not TUG ON THE WIRE! I have dedicated that last ten years of my life not only showing students that they have these powers, but how to use them. I show students that if they let fear of failure or what people think keep them from trying new things that they can't be successful. I show them that a little kindness to people, some that they might not even know can make a world of difference. I show them that when you overreact to a problem to the point of yelling a screaming you make that problem worse. I leave students with the ability, the POWER, to be their own person. They realize that they don't have to give into peer pressure, they should have pride in their school and themselves, they can resolve conflicts without violence, and that they can have a very positive affect on the people around them.
